Charlotte Barjou

Charlotte, a talented French stylist and textile designer is our expert insider during our Paris fashion week. Her passion for fashion began at the age of twelve when she was mentored by an Opéra Garnier costume designer. This early introduction to the world of fashion sparked a lifelong love. Charlotte honed her skills in couture, specializing in pattern-making, sewing, and draping, under the guidance of a renowned instructor from Chanel. After several years, she left Paris and relocated to Yangon, Myanmar to create her own fashion brand. She began by designing everything from everyday dresses to wedding gowns, starting a small atelier in her apartment, which eventually blossomed into a chic showroom in Sanchaung. In 2022, Charlotte returned to Paris, where she joined the prestigious Institut Français de la Mode to focus on a new textile project involving the rare lotus fiber. She continues to study and innovate in textile design, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary techniques. Her expertise and passion for haute couture combined with her unique creative vision, makes her a perfect guide for In Situ Art Club’s “Paris Fashion” tour.
