Conversation: FotoFest curator Madi Murphy presents photographer Flor Garduño

Join us for an insightful conversation with FotoFest associate curator Madi Murphy to explore the work of legendary photographer Flor Garduño.

Our visit will begin at Silver Street Studios, within Arts District Houston, where Steven Evans, FotoFest's Director, will tell us about the organization's 42-year history and its evolution into a leading force in photography, best known for its renowned biennial festival.

Then we’ll join FotoFest associate curator Madi Murphy to explore Flor Garduño: Paths of Life / Senderos de Vida, a breathtaking retrospective featuring unpublished images from her personal archive alongside more recent works. This exhibition provides a rare glimpse into her evolving artistic vision. Organized by El Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and the artist’s studio in collaboration with FotoFest, Houston, this showcase is a must-see for photography enthusiasts.
