Day 1: Tuesday, July 15th, 2025
Start your journey at the Abbaye de Fontevraud, where history meets contemporary art. Enjoy an exclusive private tour of the Fontevraud Modern Art Museum, led by the curator, and delve into the remarkable Cligman Collection—a stunning array of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and antiques. End the day on a high note with a gourmet dinner at the elegant L'Ermitage restaurant.
Day 2: Wednesday, July 16th, 2025
Drive to the charming city of Tours, where you’ll visit the studio of a world-renowned Mexican artist. Afterward, embark on private tours of two celebrated artists' residences, and engage in conversations with artists, writers, philosophers, and sociologists from the residencies. In the late afternoon, arrive at the Château du Clos Lucé - Parc Leonardo da Vinci and enjoy a night in this historic setting.
Day 3: Thursday, July 17th, 2025
Dedicate the day to following in the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci. Begin with a visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s residence in Amboise. This residence was the final home of the brilliant painter, inventor, and visionary, and is steeped in the rich history of the Renaissance. Explore the Chapelle Saint-Hubert, one of the architectural gems of Château d'Amboise, where Leonard has been buried. In the late afternoon, head to Chaumont, where a delightful wine tasting awaits, followed by a sumptuous dinner in the heart of the Loire Valley.
Day 4: Friday, July 18th, 2025
Attend the renowned International Garden Festival at Chaumont. Engage with visionary landscape designers from around the world, participating in workshops. Embark on a curator-led tour of the castle’s galleries, discovering the latest works of art on display, and meet the featured artist of the festival. Afterward, transfer to Chambord, and arrive at your contemporary boutique hotel, designed by the iconic architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Indulge in culinary delights at Relais de Chambord.
Day 5: Saturday, July 19th, 2025
Spend your day at the Chambord Festival, celebrating contemporary art. Start with a curator-led tour of the château’s exhibitions, where installations, sculptures, and multimedia works challenge traditional art forms. Then, participate in workshops with featured artists, exploring new techniques and ideas amidst the grandeur of Chambord.
