Meet Your Art Insider: Charlotte Barjou

Charlotte is a talented French stylist and textile designer. Her passion for fashion began at the age of 12 when she was mentored by a costume designer from the Opéra Garnier. This early introduction to the world of fashion sparked a lifelong love for the craft. Charlotte honed her skills in couture, specializing in pattern making, sewing, and draping, under the guidance of a renowned instructor from Chanel. After several years, she left Paris and relocated to Yangon Myanmar with the ambition of creating her own fashion brand. She began by designing everything from everyday dresses to wedding gowns, starting with a small atelier in her apartment, which eventually blossomed into a chic showroom in Sanchaung. In 2022, Charlotte returned to Paris, where she joined the prestigious Institut Français de la Mode to focus on a new textile project involving the rare Lotus fiber. Here, she continues to study and innovate in textile design, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary techniques. Her profound expertise and passion for Haute Couture combined with her creative vision, makes her a perfect guide for the In Situ Art Club's "Paris Fashion" tour. She will share her unique perspective and deep fascination for the art of fashion.
